Wamuran

Located 11km west of the larger centre of Caboolture, and 9km south-east of D’Aguilar.

Wamuran is a small, community minded town in the Moreton Bay Region of Queensland, Australia, comprising of Wamuran and Wamuran Basin. It is located 11km west of Caboolture, and 9km southeast of D’Aguilar. This fast growing community is conveniently located approximately 45 minutes from the beautiful white sands of the Sunshine Coast and 40 minutes to the Brisbane International Airport with easy access to the D’Aguilar and Bruce Highways. Small sections of the Beerburrum West State Forest are situated in the north of Wamuran with the Caboolture River marking parts of the south west boundary.

Located in the foothills of the iconic and magnificent Glasshouse Mountains, Wamuran is renowned as a major farming region best known for its succulent pineapples, juicy mangoes and luscious fresh strawberries. Local families and visitors are welcome to purchase some of these delicious products straight from the shed on selected farms subject to the season.

Views spanning from the picturesque Glasshouse Mountains to the stunning Moreton Bay from elevated parts of the town are some of the draw points for seekers looking for relaxed acreage living. Wamuran offers affordable small acreage properties with very little maintenance, large acreage horse properties and farming properties for the country lovers as well as executive single and double story homes in our newest family friendly estates. ‘Wam’ is a down-to-earth atmosphere with many of the residents describing the friendly people, central location and laid back community lifestyle as some of the other many features that attract them to the area. At the 2016 census, the town recorded a population of 3,196 people, with a median age of 38 years.
